About Sanaz Majd, MD

Girlfriend MD is now hosted by Dr. Sanaz Majd, a board-certified Family Medicine physician who graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, and is now practicing in sunny Southern California. She sees everything from pediatrics to geriatrics, but her special interests are women's health and patient education. She also loves to teach, and has been doing so since her college days. She has earned several teaching awards as an organic chemistry teaching assistant while in college at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and had the privilege of training other science teaching assistants hired by the university. She also has served as a teaching assistant while in medical school, and has thoroughly enjoyed teaching residents as a faculty member later in her career. She currently makes regular medical writing contributions to various publications. She loves to travel the globe and learn about other languages and cultures. Music is her passion, and she listens to her dance tunes all day and all night -- even while in the office.
